Authors may formally request to withdraw a manuscript at any point during the peer review process by submitting a signed written request from all co-authors to the Editorial Office. Once an article has been formally accepted or published as a Version of Record, withdrawal is not permitted except under circumstances involving proven research misconduct, in which case a formal Retraction Notice will be issued in alignment with COPE guidelines.
